TREATMENT WARD
Picture of Treatment Room Our treatment ward is the hub of the hospital. Adjacent to the laboratory and surgery room, we do most of our minor procedures here, as well as dentistries, ear surgery and flushing, blood sampling, treatments, and many other medical procedures. Picture of Treatment Room
SURGERY ROOM
Surgery Room Our surgical suite is state-of-the-art. We use isofluorane gas anesthesia for maximum patient safety, water heating pads for comfort, and oxygen, cardiac, & respiratory monitors to insure a safe and speedy recovery! All major sterile surgeries are performed here: including spays and neuters, orthopedic surgeries, and exploratory operations. Other surgeries include tumor/cancer removals, eye surgery, and oral surgery. Surgery Room
RADIOLOGY and ULTRASOUND
Detailed, quality radiographs (x-rays) are extremely important for accurate diagnostics. Our modern DIGITAL x-ray machine provides the doctors with accurate and speedy radiographs. This new machine is sensitive enough to take x-rays of a small bird or iguana, yet powerful enough to handle the largest bull mastiff!
Ultrasound Machine Our new Phillips Ultrasound allows us to monitor pregnant pets, "see" the liver, kidney, and other abdominal organs, and even watch the valves working in the heart. Image on right is an unborn puppy, about 55 days old! Ultrasound Image
DENTISTRY
Good dental care is a very important part of keeping a pet healthy and happy. Most of our dental procedures involve scaling (removing plaque) and polishing. We too often have to extract diseased teeth. Serious gum infections spread bacteria to other parts of the body. Root canals and caps on teeth can be done if requested. Good dental care can add as many as 3 healthy years to a pet's life! Dental Unit
LABORATORY
To insure rapid diagnostics, we have our own in-house laboratory. We are capable of running complete blood counts, blood chemistry panels, electrolytes, microscopic blood and parasite exams, and testing for heartworms, canine parvovirus, and feline leukemia. For more intensive testing, we have an overnight courier service to Idexx Laboratoies in Phoenix.
